The City of Charlestown will invest up to $150,000 through the Office of Community and Rural Affairs Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to support local businesses affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Eligible local businesses may receive up to $10,000 of funding for working capital expenses that include but are not limited to employee salaries, general operating expenses, marketing/advertising expenses, etc. Interested parties should review the Small Business Relief Application Package for information on eligibility and application materials. Applications should be completed and returned to the Mayor’s Office, 2nd Floor Charlestown City Hall, by June 1st at 12:00p.m. Applications will be reviewed, scored by the selection committee, and may be recommended for funding to the Redevelopment Commission in July.
